    Object Description

    Knife consists of a metal blade and a carved ivory upper section. The scabbard is made in two pieces - the front is ivory and the back wood - bound together with hide strips at top and bottom. The ivory finial is carved in the shape of a small man with a striped chest and back region . The lower end of the finial section into which the blade is inserted has a hemispherical design with a dot in the centre carved in relief back and front. The shaft has irregular star-like designs along the centre line.
