    Object Description

Round vessel that narrows to its upper end to become a naturalistically carved figure sitting with its legs crossed. The figure wears a pleated skirt, stares ahead and has a knob on cone stopper inserted into its head. The figure wears a top that is ties only on the left hand shoulder and from the other shoulder wears a cross band with alternating rectangular and round elements. It has an armband around the upper left arm, a bangle? around the right wrist and holds what appears to be dance rattles. The vessel has dots of white paint all over its surface and some engraved zigzag patterns can be discerned. There is a loop of string tied where the figure and the vessel meet.
