    Object Description

    Carved wooden figure of an initiate. She has straight columnar legs painted white at the bottom and no arms, large breasts and a large head. Her hair is mop-like and made from reddened string. The eyes are reflective studs, there is a nose but no mouth. She has two chain links and a metal ring in each ear. Her long neck is covered in ringlets if grass as well as two loops of beads. The skirt of reddened string fringes is attached to a wide belt decorated with rows of white buttons and 4 rows of large pink beads in the front. At the back short rows of metal chain hand above a swallow tail leather back skirt also decorated with white buttons.
