JAG 2001-1-3

Heavy gathered skirt in salempore fabric. It has two layers of fabric - a shorter one layered on top the lower longer section. The skirt is covered with a lacy beaded layer around. Overlaid onto this are 7 rectangular panels of beadwork attached with safety pins. These are in a variety of designs including the nyaleti/star and mhangele/guinea fowl. Further embellishments include a roundel of beads and strings of beads with small metal bells and pompoms on the end.
