JAG 2007-11-1.1

Gourd decorated with linear pokerwork designs. It has a stopper with an anthropomorphic finial that has its pointed shaft inserted inside the vessel. The finial consists of a head and torso up to the waist. The figure wears a red beaded necklace. It has one hand in its mouth and the other held in front on its stomach. Around the widest part of the gourd is a panel of lacy beadwork. At each side a bunch of metal bracelets is attached. The panel is tied underneath the object with string and it rests on a ring of wrapped reddened fabric.
