Staff with three 'chain' links at the end carved in wood. Top of staff flares slightly narrowing to two raised ridges that encircle the shaft. A narrow metal band encircles the shaft above this. The shaft then bulges out for a short distance ending in two projecting flat circular horizontal rings. Between the two raised areas the shaft has two abstracted heads outlined at the widest part of the bulg and the words 'CHEF, MAHOUNDI' engraved vertically between these two motifs.
