Banana shaped snuff box with fluting along its length. It is made in two matching sections with a narrow cylindrical neck and slightly flaring mouth at either end. The stoppers at both ends have a raised ring that becomes a short rod and then a hollow circular end. A chain and another metal rope ties these two together. These are held to the body of the vessel by arches of metal rope. A much longer metal rope is also attached through these arches.
