Object Description
Axe with a horizontal finial that tapers backward into a slightly bulbous ovoid . Its front section becomes the haft at the point where the axe head also joins. The metal axe head has a straight rod/neck inserted into the finial which becomes the blade - a flat triangular shape with a curved convex front. The haft curves slightly inwards along its length. The haft has 4 metal bands around it. The finial is decorated with round indentations and the metal blade is engraved with geometric designs at the rod section and at the base of the flared blade. The end of the haft is a short raised foot with holes around its circumference as decoration.
