Massospondylus carinatus is a species of sauropodomorph dinosaur commonly found in the Elliot Formation of the Eastern Cape, Free State, KZN and Lesotho. In this case the permit refers to 73 partial specimens of this species in the collections of the University of the Witwatersrand (see attachment for specimen numbers).
