Middelburg Mine proposes to extend opencast operations at its Klipfontein Section, which requires an associated partial closure and relocation of Road D253. BECSA proposes to extend its opencast operations onto Portions 1 (Remaining Extent) and 5 of the farm Wolvenfontein 471 JS and Portion 15 (Remaining Extent) of the farm Bankfontein 340 JS, within the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality, Nkangala District Municipality, Mpumalanga Province.
