Project Name: Karreebosch Wind Farm and Associated Infrastructure within the Karoo Hoogland Local Municipality and the Laingsburg Local Municipality in the Northern Cape Province and Western Cape Province.

Proposed Activity: The establishment of a wind energy facility on a site located approximately 30km north of Matjiesfontein, and approximately 40 km south of Sutherland.

Project Location: The site falls within the Karoo Hoogland Local Municipality, Northern Cape and Laingsburg Local Municipality, Western Cape. Application for Environmental Authorisation: Karreebosch Wind Farm (Pty) Ltd has appointed Savannah Environmental as the independent environmental consultant to complete the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process. In terms of sections 24 and 24D of NEMA, as read with Government Notices R982, R983, R984 and R985, a Scoping and EIA process is required for the proposed project.
