Proposal Description
We will analyse about 500 small samples of sediment from PP5-6 in plastic round containers that measure 3.5 cm circumference x 1 cm height for their magnetic susceptibility. Magnetic susceptibility is the capacity for a sediment to be magnetised, and it can be a good indicator of the amount of burning a sediment was subjected to. We will use these measurements in concert with contextual information to study the patterning of burning across the site.
