Proposed Springbok Wind Energy Facility: Application for Amendment of the Environmental Authorisation

Mulilo Springbok Wind Power (Pty) Ltd (the Applicant) is applying for an amendment of the Environmental Authorisation (EA) for the proposed Springbok Wind Energy Facility (WEF) near Springbok in the Northern Cape. The EA was granted by DEA on 27 July 2011, and amended on 24 October 2011, 27 June 2014 and 18 May 2016. The Applicant is now applying for an amendment of the EA, to amend the project description of the proposed WEF (including a reduction in the number of turbines proposed and increase in turbine dimensions and generation capacity of each turbine), as well as refinements to the proposed layout and updates to the contact details of the holder of the EA.
