This permit application seeks permission to export micromorphology samples from the site of Border Cave for non-destructive pre-analysis treatment at the Geoarchaeology Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, UK under the direction of Professor Charles French.This preparation process includes the impregnation of sediment samples and preliminary cutting to provide suitable samples for thin section preparation before the return of all material to South Africa for micromorphological analysis of sediments from the site of Border Cave, KwaZulu-Natal province.
