Proposed Establishment of Aloe and Seaweed (Coeg1 & 2) Gas Power Plant and associated infrastructure in Port Elizabeth

Nsovo Environmental Consulting (Nsovo) was appointed by DNG Energy (Pty)Ltd to
conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies for the proposed establishment
of Aloe and Seaweed natural gas power station and its associated infrastructure. In turn,
Nsovo commission Mulaifa Development Projects cc (heritage specialist) to conduct an
Archaeological and Heritage Impact Assessment (AIA/HIA) Screening/desktop study for the
proposed project development. The proposed development is to take place in ward 53 of
Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality of Eastern Cape Province. The purpose of the study was
to provide AIA/HIA professional opinion to Nsovo in relation to possible impacts associated
to the proposed development in the study area.
