Manyeleti requires a prospecting right in terms of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act (Act No. 22 of 2002) (MPRDA). Before the prospecting right will be granted, Manyeleti must undertake an environmental authorisation process in terms of the National Environmental Management Act (Act No. 107 of 1998) (NEMA). The proposed prospecting project will cover an area of 3 500 hectares and located approximately 30.3 km south of Kuruman town in the Northern Cape Province.
