9/2/282/0006- Waterval Boven Train Disaster Nomination

This nomination is motivated by the November 5th train disaster involving Mozambican migrant laborers, a train driver, and rail line authorities. J 5 carriages and a guards van transported 500 people on Train 513. The train arrived at Waterval Boven about midnight. The night was gloomy and marked by a steady rain that flooded the Elandspruit River, which would later sweep away and drown several of the laborers.
