Tangablox Bloemfontein Housing

Tangablox (Pty) Ltd is proposing to develop an affordable and low-income housing project, comprising of approximately 5000 housing units including community facilities (i.e. filling stations, small business centre, schools, and clinic). The
project will be phased over several years. Notice is given for the Environmental Authorisation (EA) application to be submitted to the Free State Department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism & Environmental Affairs (DESTEA) in terms of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations under Section 24(5), and 44 of the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) (Act No. 107 of 1998), as amended. The listed activities (triggered under GN R983, GN R984 and GN R985), will require an EIA process. A Water Use License Application (WULA) will also be submitted to the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) in terms of Section 21 of the National Water Act (NWA), (Act 36 of 1998).
