Application for a permit to film and take samples in the wreck site of the Nicobar (1783), Western Cape

Revisiting the wreck site of the Nicobar will add new data to the existing research. Due to the uniqueness of its plate money cargo, the history of this wreck and the unavoidable link to the Schimmelmann wreck in Cape Verde, the Nicobar will be included in a first-class international TV series of documentaries lead by actor, Kevin Costner, who is known as well for his activism in protecting the marine environment. This TV show (a documentary series) will have as its objective to entertain and educate the general audience about the importance of underwater cultural heritage (UCH)
