Proposal Description
Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, Limpopo Operating Unit (LOU) intends to construct the power line for the above-mentioned project through Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality. The power line will be approximately 3162m which will be connected to the existing power line in the area from pole number LRV4/7/22/5A/33 (refer to the span plan sheet and coordinate list
for more information). The line will be constructed in Phalaborwa at MAJEJE VILLAGE in the Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality under Mopani District in Limpopo Province.
Environmental Screening of the power line route was conducted during the pegging of the route by the Survey team and site verification by Environmental Practitioner which lead to the generation of the servitude planning documents [Distribution Environmental Screening Document (DESD), Wayleave, Span plan and Pegging coordinates
attached for your reference]. No Heritage resources outlined on item 6.3 of the DESD
were observed on site.
