Proposal Description
It is proposed to sample paint from the rock art site known as Zamenkomst on the farm Highlands, Maclear District, Eastern Cape Province. Samples of paint will be collected for inorganic characterization analysis and possible AMS radiocarbon analysis. The purpose of this work is to determine the composition of the paint and potentially date it.
