Proposal Description
Malebogo Mining Company (Pty) Ltd (“the Applicant”) (“herewith Malebogo Mining Company”) submitted an application for a Mining Permit and an Environmental Authorisation in order to mine for the following commodities: Aggregate, Limestone and Manganese Ore.
In order to undertake mining activities, Malebogo Mining Company require a Mining Permit in terms of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 2002 (MPRDA, Act No. 28 of 2002). Mvelo is also required to obtain an Environmental Authorisation (EA) in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (NEMA, Act No. 107 of 1998) which involves the submission of a Basic Assessment Report (BAR) and Environmental Management Programme (EMPr). Ugwa Consulting Services cc Ltd have been appointed by Malebogo Mining Company (Pty) Ltd as the Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) to provide and complying with these requirements.
