Bokoni Platinum Mine's Start-Up Project

The proposed Start-Up Project will allow African Rainbow Minerals (ARM) to commence with a section of the mine, after it has been on care and maintenance since 2017, and will consist of the following infrastructure and activities:
• Redevelopment of the Klipgat Portal operation to access Middelpunt West & Middelpunt East underground areas - to be located on previously authorised and existing UM1 and Klipgat decline shaft areas;
• Developing a new processing plant with a processing capacity of 240 kilo tons per month (ktpm);
• Relocation of existing explosive magazine to make space for new plant; and
• Modifications to existing concentrator plant, i.e. upgrade stormwater management and pollution control dams.
