THE PROPOSED MOKOLO SOLAR 4 PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLAR ENERGY FACILITY AND ASSOCIATED INFRASTRUCTURE, NEAR LEPHALALE, LIMPOPO PROVINCE

Mokolo Solar 4 (Pty) Ltd is proposing the construction of a photovoltaic (PV) solar facility on surrounding properties located within the Lephalale Local Municipality, and greater Waterberg District Municipality.
The proposed development is located on Portion 3 of the Farm Zandheuvel No. 356, Registration Division LQ, and Portion 1 of the Farm Leliefontein No. 672, Registration Division LQ, approximately 41 km west of the town of Lephalale (Ellisras) in the Limpopo Province. The solar PV facility will comprise several arrays of PV panels and associated infrastructure and will have a contracted capacity of up to 240 MW. The proposed Mokolo Solar 4 will cover approximately 520 ha.
The project is proposed as part of a cluster of six (6) projects and are envisaged to operate simultaneously. All projects will be subject to independent Scoping and Environmental Impact Assessment (S&EIA) processes
