THE PROPOSED MOKOLO SOLAR 6 PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLAR ENERGY FACILITY AND ASSOCIATED INFRASTRUCTURE, NEAR LEPHALALE, LIMPOPO PROVINCE

Mokolo Solar 6 (Pty) Ltd is proposing the construction of a photovoltaic (PV) solar facility on surrounding properties located within the Lephalale Local Municipality, and greater Waterberg District Municipality.
The proposed development is located on the Remaining Extent of Portion 1 of the Farm Rooipan No. 357, approximately 39 km southwest of the town of Lephalale (previously Ellisras) in the Limpopo Province. The solar PV facility will comprise several arrays of PV panels and associated infrastructure and will have a contracted capacity of up to 240 MW. The proposed Mokolo Solar 6 will cover approximately 544ha.
The project is proposed as part of a cluster of six (6) projects and are envisaged to operate simultaneously. All projects will be subject to independent Scoping and Environmental Impact Assessment (S&EIA) processes
