Proposal Description
Destructive (isotopes, aDNA) and non-destructive (micro-wear, microCT-scanning) analyses of archaeological chacma baboon teeth from archaeological sites in Free State, Limpopo and North-West Provinces. The aim is to study the genetic potential of baboon adaptation to climate changes in South Africa, to draw appropriate management and conservation recommendations.
