REDUNDANT ASSET - The 15 Class consists of 9 variations , 15 / 15 A/ 15 AR / 15B / 15BR / 15CB / CA/ 15E AND 15 F . An identical locomotive of this class - Locomotive 15CA # 2802 is preserved at the Transnet College . Esselen Park and forms part of the Transnet collection. The museum has two books where the history of this class is captured " Locomotive of South Africa" by Leith Paxton and David Bourne and "Railways of Southern Africa" by Jean Dulez. Drawings(plans) and other historical information relating to this class is in safe custody at the Transnet Heritage Library.
