REDUNDANT ASSET- The 15 Class consists of 9 variations , 15 / 15 A/ 15 AR / 15B / 15BR / 15CB / CA/ 15E AND 15 F . An identical locomotive of this class - Locomotive 15F # 2994 is preserved at the Klein Plasie Museum Worcester(Transnet Asset)and forms part the Transnet collection. 8 other 15F's are on loan to preservation clubs. The museum has two books where the history of this class is captured " Locomotive of South Africa" by Leith Paxton and David Bourne and "Railways of Southern Africa" by Jean Dulez. Drawings(plans) and other historical information relating to this class is in safe custody at the Transnet Heritage Library.
