Final DecisionIf any impact is envisaged on the heritage resources identified during the initial Heritage Impact Assessment, the provisions of SAHRA's comment (26 August 2014, http://www.sahra.org.za/node/171989) applies. Alternatively a Conservation Managment Plan would need to be developed for their future protection and conservation. SAHRA APM Unit has no objections to the current application based on the information that was submitted in the second heritage report referenced above, provided that:- During the process of construction, no heritage resources that are present on the site should be damaged. The construction team should be made aware of the presence of the stone walled sites on the EVRAZ property, and that it should be avoided so that no damaged is caused accidentally.Furthermore, if any other archaeological resources are discovered in the process of expansion, development must stop immediately and SAHRA and a professional archaeologist or palaeontologist according to the nature of the findings must be called to inspect the findings.
