SAHRA Notification of Development comment
SAHRA APM Unit requires a Heritage Impact Assessment study conducted by a suitably qualified professional archaeologist for the proposed development. The assessment should look at the built environment, graves, and archaeology of the proposed development.
The proposed development lies in a low to insignificant palaeontological sensitive zone (http://www.sahra.org.za/sahris/map/palaeo), thus SAHRA APM unit will require a Desktop Assessment of the development, or a Palaeontological Exemption letter to be conducted by a suitably qualified professional palaeontologist.SAHRA will comment further on this proposed development once the above requested studies are submitted to the case.
