Based on the reasons mentioned above, the SAHRA APM Unit does not accept the Phase 1 Heritage Impact Assessment undertaken by L. Marais-Botes. Therefore the SAHRA APM Unit continues to request a Phase 1 Heritage Impact Assessment to be submitted before comments can be released on the development. Please refrain from using roads only when surveying the area as such a survey is too restrictive and important resources further from the roads could easily be missed. Please note the HIA must contain a field study Palaeontological Impact Assessment.
