Interim Comment
The SAHRA Archaeology, Palaeontology and Meteorites (APM) Unit awaits the HIA before further comment will be issued. The HIA must comply with section 38(3) of the National Heritage Resources Act, Act 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and must assess all heritage resources as defined in section 3 of the NHRA. The Archaeological and Palaeontological components of the HIA must comply with the 2006 SAHRA Minimum Standards: Archaeological and Palaeontological Components of Impact Assessments and the 2012 Minimum Standards: Palaeontological Component of Heritage Impact Assessment Reports.
The dEIA and all associated appendices must be submitted during the relevant Public Review period so that an informed comment may be issued. Additionally, the location of the development must be mapped on the GIS Layer of the SAHRIS Application.
