Interim Comment
After careful consideration of the response letter and the proposed development information including the Final BAR and appendices, the SAHRA Archaeology, Palaeontology and Meteorites (APM) Unit requests the following studies to be completed:

The proposed picnic sites were not assessed as part of the submitted AIA. A revised AIA must be conducted that includes an assessment of the proposed picnic sites;
A Desktop Palaeontological Impact Assessment that must comply with the 2012 Minimum Standards: Palaeontological Component of Heritage Impact Assessments must be conducted for the proposed rest camp and picnic sites;

Further comments will be issued upon receipt of the above.
