Due to the nature of the application for a permit to relocate or otherwise remove from its original position the following;
To relocate the ashes of the deceased are not older than 60 years,
To place the memorial plaque on the building,
The reinternment of the ashes in the local municipal cemetery; at the cost of the developer
As such the SAHRA cannot authorise the relocation of these remains as they fall outside of SAHRA's legislative mandate, to permit graves older than 60 years and/ graves of victims of conflict (as per Section 36 of the NHRA). As such we kindly refer you to the relevant authorities to request the necessary authorisations, comments &/ permissions.Kind Regards,
