Interim Comment
As seawater will be pumped from the ocean to the proposed development area, SAHRA requests that a revised heritage assessment be conducted to include an assessment for the location of the pump and pipe. Any maritime heritage, shipwrecks, shipwreck material, or archaeological middens must be assessed and included in a revised HIA.
The applicant is advised to extend the EA process in terms of section 23(1)b of the NEMA EIA regulations in order to comply with this comment.
Further comments will be issued upon receipt of the requested report.
