As per section 38(2)a of the NHRA, SAHRA requests that a field-based Heritage Impact Assessment be conducted for the proposed development inclusive of a desktop Palaeontological Impact Assessment. The HIA must comply with section 38(3) of the NHRA, the SAHRA 2007 Minimum Standards: Archaeological and Palaeontological Components of Impact Assessment Reports and the 2012 Minimum Standards: Palaeontological Components of Heritage Impact Assessments.
Further comments will be issued upon receipt of the requested HIA.
