Interim Comment
The SAHRA Archaeology, Palaeontology and Meteorites (APM) Unit notes the pending EA applications and requests that 14 separate SAHRIS applications be submitted with specific details per development, including unique kml files for the mapping of the location of the developments.
The assessment of the impact to heritage resources must comply with section 38(3) of the National Heritage Resources Act, Act 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and each HIA must be development specific. A combination report where all 14 PV developments are assessed in one report will not be accepted. The PIA may be a combination report (as it is understood that this has already been completed), however, the HIAs must include development specific results from the PIA into each separate HIA.
Further comments will be issued upon receipt of Scoping documents.
