Interim CommentThe SAHRA Development Applications Unit (DAU) cannot reach a decision on this application without an assessment of impacts to heritage and palaeontological resources by the development by suitably qualified archaeologist and palaeontologist respectively. The resultant report must comply with section 38(3) of the National Heritage Resources Act, Act 25 of 1999 (NHRA), as well as the 2007 Minimum Standards Guideline document for the archaeological component of a Heritage Impact Assessment, and the 2012 Minimum Standards Guideline document for the palaeontological component of a Heritage Impact Assessment.
