Final DecisionWithout the in place and verified consent of the families, their respective graves cannot be relocated, and further meetings with the families must be held urgently to understand why they have withdrawn their consent.The SAHRA has informed the families that have responded to go to the police to make another affidavit to provide evidence of the withdrawal of their consent. They have 7 days to provide the affidavit to the heritage consultant and these affidavits must be uploaded to the case within 3 days of receipt of the affidavits.This case will be closed upon receipt of the withdrawal of consent affidavits.If further consultation is undertaken and consent is provided then a new application on SAHRIS must be created and the new documents uploaded to the case, along with the applicable proof of payment.In terms of the NHRA Regulations 21051 April 2000 section 7, the applicant/heritage consultant has 14 calendar days to submit an appeal to the SAHRA council if they object to the granting of this permit.
