The church building known as the Witkerk with 1 metre of surrounding land, Situated on Church Square 417, situatein Church Street and Market Street (now known as Portion 32 of Stand 871) in the Township of Middelburg, Registration Division JS, Transvaal, in extent one (1) morgen twenty-five (25)square roods.Historical and architectural interestThis imposing Neo-Gothic church was completed in 1890 and is one of the oldest existing Nederduitse reformeerde Church buildings in the Transvaal. It is also the only church building north of the Vaal River that was designed by the well-known church architect C. O. Hager.
