Education campus, Sheffield Manor

Sherpa Trade and Invest 31 (Pty) Ltd propose to construct an Education Campus in the centre of Seaton Estate. Since the proposed new development triggers listed activities on its own, a new application for Environmental Authorisation is required. Should Environmental Authorisation be granted for the Education Campus, the layout of Seaton Estate will need to be formally amended to include the proposed development layout. The proposed site for the Education Campus is 23-hectares in extent and consists of a sports precinct, school and wetland environment. The development footprint will be approximately 7.5 hectares. Sports facilities will contain rugby fields, a swimming pool, multi-courts, astro turfs, an indoor arena, club house and spectator stands. Infrastructure associated with the campus will be constructed to accommodate 1 200 pupils and includes a full range of educational facilities including, infants, pre-primary, primary, secondary, tertiary and adult education and training with associated buildings and recreational facilities.
