At my first site visit to the said property , the condition of the buildings were in a very poor state, the lack of maintenance over the years has led to the dilapidated state of the buildings. The original aesthetics of the buildings have been compromised over the years. The phases of the constructions will be determined by the owner as a matter of affordability. The additions and alterations will be carried out to accommodate the current demand of small business and new shops will be built within the said property of CBD of Howick. The significance of the building has been compromised, therefore the restoration of the buildings to its original aesthetics will be a challenge
