Mulilo Newcastle Wind Power 2 Wind Energy Facility, Newcastle Local Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal

Mulilo Newcastle Wind Power 2 (Pty) Ltd proposes to develop, construct and operate the 160 MW Mulilo Newcastle Wind Power 2 WEF. The WEF will have a maximum output capacity of up to 160 MW, will comprise of 16 wind turbines and will have an anticipated life span of 20 – 25 years. Mulilo Newcastle Wind Power WEF will be located on eight (8) land parcels. The properties affected by the Mulilo Newcastle Wind Power WEF are all zoned to Agriculture and mostly used for livestock grazing. Woodlands or Afromontane forests occur in the ravines. No cultivated land could be identified on any of the farms. The proposed Mulilo Newcastle Wind Power 2 WEF is located near Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal.
