Mulilo Newcastle Wind Power Wind Energy Facility, Newcastle Local Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal

Mulilo Newcastle Wind Power (Pty) Ltd proposes to develop, construct and operate the 200 MW Mulilo Newcastle Wind Power WEF. The WEF will have a maximum output capacity of up to 200 MW, will comprise of 35 wind turbines and will have an anticipated life span of 20 – 25 years. Mulilo Newcastle Wind Power WEF will be located on six (6) land parcels. The properties affected by the Mulilo Newcastle Wind Power WEF are all zoned to Agriculture and mostly used for livestock grazing. Woodlands or Afromontane forests occur in the ravines. No cultivated land could be identified on any of the farms. The proposed Mulilo Newcastle Wind Power WEF is located near Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal.
