Bengwenyama Mine_Mining Right Application

Miracle Upon Miracle investment (Pty) Ltd (MUM) is intending to apply for Mining Right in terms of section 22(1) of the MPRDA to mine the PGMs, gold, copper, chrome, cobalt, silver and nickel using underground mining methods. MUM is a holder of Preferent Prospecting Right number LP30/5/1/1/3/2/1/002PPR (“002PPR”) granted for the minerals PGMs, gold, copper, chrome, cobalt, silver and nickel in accordance with Section 104 of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, No. 28 of 2002 (“MPRDA”). The Project Area is located in the Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality, Sekhukhune District Municipality, Limpopo Province of South Africa and covers an area of 5,280.8938 ha. The Project is located approximately 7 km west of the town of Steelpoort and 22 km southwest of Burgersfort on the farms Nooitverwacht and Eerstegeluk.
The proposed development requires MUM to obtain the following authorisations / licences prior to construction and operation commencing:
• Environmental Authorisation in terms of the National Environmental Management Act (Act No. 107 of 1998) (“NEMA”) and MPRDA as amended.
• Waste Management Licence in terms National Environmental Management Waste Act (Act No. 59 of 2008).
• Integrated Water Use Licence (“IWUL”) in terms of the National Water Act (Act No. 36 of 2008).
Minxcon (Pty) Ltd (“Minxcon”) has been appointed by Miracle Upon Miracle Investments (Pty) Ltd (“MUM”) to undertake Environmental Authorisation application processes for the proposed underground mine on the farms Nooitverwacht 324 KT (“Nooitverwacht”) and Eerstegeluk 327 KT (“Eerstegeluk”), termed the Bengwenyama Mining Project.
