Proposal Description
The City of Ekurhuleni Department of Human Settlements intends to develop the 33ha of Portion 406 of the Farm Driefontein 85 IR with high-density mixed use residential development with the aim of releasing government owned land to approved beneficiaries. The municipality has an excessive backlog as well as a “gab market” that current does not qualify for free subsidised housing and fully bonded housing therefore through the proposed development, the City will assist in eradicating the existing backlog as well as increase the number of individuals that will access to tenure in different income groups.
