DISCUSSION
Amongst other things, the following was discussed:
- The committee noted that the building is listed in the Heritage Register.
- The condition of the house had dilapidated.
- The committee recommended that the municipality and Amafa legal officer be consulted.
- The prominent heritage features which included the verandah had been changed as well as the Doric Columns had been changed to concrete columns.
- The committee required an assessment of the impact of the changes that the building had undergone to be in its current state.
FURTHER REQUIREMENT
- The applicant was required to submit a Heritage Impact Assessment (HIA) prepared by a Heritage practitioner, the practitioner to refer to the heritage features listed by Prof Keaney.
