Soleberg Solar Park and associated infrastructure

Soleberg PV (Pty) Ltd (hereinafter referred to as the “Applicant”) proposes the development of the Soleberg Solar Park and associated infrastructure (“the Project”), near Baltimore, Limpopo Province. The Project will be located on Portion 8 of the Farm Marnitzkraal 54. The Project will be developed in a single phase and will have a contracted generating capacity of up to 240 megawatts (million watts – MW). Bifacial solar PV modules installed on single axis tracker mounting structure at a height of up to 6 metres (m) above ground level will be utilised for the panels. The site will include Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) of 1440 megawatt hour (MWh) with a footprint of 10 hectares (Ha).
