Proposal Description
This is a project to prospect and collect fossils at farm Kommissie Drift 303 (Smithfield District, Free state). The team will be composed of 5 researchers and students from the University of the Witwatersrand and will explore the farm for about 5 days in early April (scheduled dates 25 March to 7 April 2024). The goal is to collect enough index fossil and geological evidence to address the age of the holotype of the species Nythosaurus larvatus. Province: Free State.
