Proposed Rerouting of the High Lift Rising Main (HLRM) due to the proximity of existing Eskom Powerlines, within the Thabazimbi Local Municipality located in the Waterberg District Municipality, Limpopo Province

The GIBB-Bigen-Nyeleti Joint Venture (GBN-JV) on behalf of the Applicant, Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS), is applying for EA, in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998) and the 2014 EIA Regulations (as amended), subject to a Basic Assessment process, for the Re-routing of the High Lift Rising Main (HLRM) within the Eskom Servitude on the following farms ; Mecklenburg 310 KQ Portion 1, Paarl 124 KQ REM, Paarl 124 KQ Portion 6 and Paarl 124 KQ Portion 7. The following alternatives have been assessed:
1. Western Alternative,
2. Eastern Alternative; and
3. Sub Alternative to the Eastern Alternative.
